Help regarding AMD dual graphic disabling
guys i need your help
i am on windows 8
i am using HP laptop
this is my ccc version
i got 2 problems
well first one is that i can't update to windows 8.1 as the update always hang on 82% and after that my laptop
automatically shutsdown i don't know whats the reason is and that's why i am stuck at windows 8 till now although have 8.1 ISO but i don't want to install it as i have to erase my my windows 8 which came pres-installed so i will
loose my genuine windows 8 .now i want to know what if i open the 8.1 installer and install it from a virtual tool like
Deamon although it gives an option to keep files app setting safe but i fear that it would conflict with 8 and i would have to format my laptop then
ok now to the major problem
i just recently purchased Watch Dogs and installed it.I played the first mission and got busted so the mission failed and it began to reload and then a error pops up saying watch dogs have stopped working
upon googling i found out that this is due to DUAl AMD Graphics so they stated that i should disable it
but i cant find any option of disabling DUAL Grahics
so can you guys help me

Does it actually have dual graphics? My ASUS laptop has an A-10 APU which has a Radeon 7660G GPU in it. It also has a dedicated 7670M with 1 gig of onboard video RAM. It can switch back and forth between the two depending on what its doing and whether its plugged into the power pack or not.

The OEM graphics drivers are the ones listed on that same HP support page. They are old but you should try them just to see if any difference.

It would appear that the CCC is not detecting the switchable dual graphics. What version CCC did you install? I'd try your game again anyway and see if the same issue comes back after doing the clean install.

OK, I'm running out of ideas. I can't see this making any difference but you could try resetting the BIOS to defaults. I didn't see any settings in my laptops BIOS to disable the dual graphics or set one particular card as master but who knows. Yours is a different manufacturer. How old is this laptop? Is it still under warranty?

When you opened CCC did you click the Preferences option in the top right and select Advanced View? Device manager shows both GPU's? I know I'm rehashing stuff, but like I said I'm running out of idea's. I'm not convinced its strictly a software issue but don't really know how to prove it one way of the other. Did you try resetting the BIOS to defaults?
