Copy/paste the .inf in the zip in this post over the one at C:\AMD\Support\12-4_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF.

Open device manager, right click the Basic Display, choose update driver software. Browse My Computer, Let me pick, Have Disk, Browse...

Then navigate to the folder above and double click on C7137813.inf. Click next, click ok and then it will install.

    Reboot.

Run C:\AMD\Support\12-4_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc\Setup.exe to install the CCC and other features.

Let me know how it goes. I ran into one or two drivers in the past months that I had to make compatible for Windows 6.2 also. This may be the case here as well, but probably not.

    Good luck.

@GMan I did evrythng as instructed
Finally I got past the nasty notice "AVECC cant be started blah blah blah"
    For that I thank you
However, onto the AMD VISION ECC, I cant seem to change any settings beside WifiRadio CPUProfiles & CPUPower ???
Before, when I was on win7, the AVECC had tons of settings to adjust evrythng.
    Smt's wrong I guess

I have an ATI Radeon 6970 2gb, using the Windows8 drivers released by AMD most things look great but Mosaic (or whatever the hell they call that thing!) is all messed up, icons are low resolution until I "mouse over" and I can't read the text, this pic shows what it's like:

Is there a possibillity to install a driver for my Ati Radeon HD3450 AGP with subjoined hardware ids in Windows 8 Release Preview 32 bit?

    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C6&SUBSYS_00281043&REV_00
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C6&SUBSYS_00281043
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C6&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C6&CC_0300

I extracted the 12-4_agp-hotfix_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc file and let device manager search for a driver, that worked, problem solved.

    Device ID 0x7143
    Vendor ID 0x1002
    Class Code 0x030000

    ---------------

If you are like me and don't have one of those (I have AGP HD 3850 Turbo), you must edit the inf file and use the device manager to install. The problem here is that it is much more complicated than before because of missing revisions all throughout the inf.

I just hacked my way through it and got it to install very well on Windows x86 32 bit. I can easily do so too for x64, but then driver signing will have to be disabled permanently or at system boot each time.

If you would like me to create a custom .inf for your card not included on the list above (I can likely do mobile too as I have done in the past), please make a post with your hardware id for your specific card. Also, download the driver above and extract it to a folder so you have it ready.

Please also specify if you would like the AMD External service installed with the driver, or not - along with which you need between x86 or x64.
