For the Mobility: First download and extract the 12.4 WHQL. After extraction, close the installer.

Copy/paste the .inf in the zip in this post over the one at C:\AMD\Support\12-4_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF.

Open device manager, right click the Basic Display, choose update driver software. Browse My Computer, Let me pick, Have Disk, Browse...

Then navigate to the folder above and double click on CL137813.inf. Click next, click ok and then it will install. Reboot.
Run C:\AMD\Support\12-4_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc\Setup.exe to install the CCC and other features.

    You're welcome.

Ok. Thought it might not be compatible with win8 . If there are no compatibility issues I think I can install that file on 4570 as well.

You'll need the edited .inf to install from the 12.4 WHQL, as shown, for Mobility.

AMD does have a Mobility download but many hardware makers do not allow that to be used and hardware ids are not even included in that, still.

The .inf is specifically made for your hardware.

    Ok. Thanks again

Will do the inf method for 4570

It seems that none of the driver downloads have resume support.

Unfortunately this does not work for me. I'm stuck using the intel display driver.

I tried running that install but as it is doing in my screen blacks out. If I sleep and come back on the intel display will kick back in again and I can see again.

Looking in the screen resolution and such it seems that this does not install/configure the switchable graphics part and it tries to active both display drivers at the same time blacking out the scren. Not sure how to get the ATI driver going by itself

To GMan: Hi. I'm new to this forum and I'm so glad to meet you.
I'm really appreciated what've you done here.
    I myself have a Mobility 4570 with Win8 x64 installed.
The instructions that you posted earlier is for win32.
I just want to know if I do the similar things i.e. download the 12.4 WHQL x64 / replace the file/ update the driver/ install ccc
I guess that I'll need another .inf for x64.
In that case please make one for me.
    Thank you so much!

Hey, welcome to the forum. Glad to see another new member arrive.

Yes, I would have to make you a different one for x64, but you'll have to be prepared to do as my quote above says. The other option with it all is for you to sign the driver files. I don't do that because I have no need myself and never bothered learning how, although it's not difficult - so this is one of those things where you'd have to help yourself, so to speak.

So, if you want to do one of those three options, let me know and post your hardware ids so I can make it for you properly.
