Accidentally disabled my integrated graphics card

So i was on my laptop and i was playing a game i could normally play without lag. I thought my integrated graphics card had something to do with it so i wanted to disable it so i could run the game way better with my nvidia graphics card. I went to device manager and disabled my integrated graphics card. Suddenly, i couldn't open anything anymore so i went to restart my laptop.I restarted it and as soon as it went on i see my laptop's loading screen working, but then when i have to log into my laptop i see nothing but a black screen and my cursor.
I read something on a windows 7 forum earlier about unplugging the battery for a couple of minutes and putting it back in. And so i did that but the black screen is still there.

You are likely to have one of those laptops that automatically switch from the onboard graphics to the other graphics adapter as the need arises, and in such cases, boot and start using the onboard graphics.

If you can't get into the BIOS to see if there is any way to reset the onboard graphics, you may be stuck with having to do a complete reinstall to get the display working again.

Yea, most dual graphics laptops use the integrated graphics as a pipeline even when on the dedicated graphics. Try to get into safe mode with the function keys and re-enable it there. Have to be very quick with the key on UEFI BIOS but is doable.

Well, some laptops won't do it on 8 unless you enable it first.

First of all thanks a bunch for the replies.
So is there any shortcut to get into safe mode on windows 8?
I heard shift + mashing F8 works. Tried it and it's still on the black screen.

Not sure you're going to be able to do it. Some report success, others don't. Could try going into BIOS and switching the graphics settings from dynamic to dedicated if it has that option. Like MarkPhelps said above.

F2 should work on bootup.

No, it only shows the bootup screen wich says "press F2 to enter setup" if the computer has been shut down in the Shift>shut down way. And i didn't do that before i had this black screen.

Hate to say this, but you're probably out of luck. As mentioned, laptops with dual graphics nearly always use the onboard video by default. If you've tried all the combination of keys and can't get a BIOS settings display, an option (if you have a video output jack like HDMI or VGA), is to connect a monitor to that jack and see if it displays anything during boot. You might also have to look into using a keyboard combination to switch the display to the jack if you don't see anything.

Without a display, there's nothing you can do to fix it. You would have to send it back to the supplier and see if they would restore it under warranty, or barring that, would restore it for a fee.
