i like to have my screen resolution on the lowest my graphics card can handle which is 1024X768 as it magnifies this on the screen so it is easier to see on my 32" lcd. the downside is that some things are impossible to do as the resolution is too small. to give you an example i have taken a screenshot of a application i have maximized, i should be able to see a few function buttons at the bottom of the application but i can not and there is no way to scroll down. on a higher screen resolution i can see the whole of the application in maximized mode.
is there a way to fix this

Try to use TAB button or arrow keys to switch between function, it might work, even if you do not see them.

I have run into things like that but mostly with message boxes, sometimes they expect different resolution.
Why don't you try upping resolution a bit and make items and text larger ?

Thanks Mike but the very reason I want a low resolution is because I have my computer connected to my 32inch LCD TV & a higher resolution makes it hard to see things on the screen without the built in magnifier application

i found an example
attached is a screenshot of the hma application in full screen, there should be some buttons to run a ping test, express test & full test at the bottom but there is not and there is no way to scroll. is there a way to tell the app to display properly in the resolution? i have also attached a screenshot of the same app in full screen but in a 1024X1080 resolution and you will see the buttons i speak of at the bottom.
