Problem with sound when connecting the PC with my Sony TV

Hi everyone,

When connecting my PC to my TV through HDMI cable sometimes the playback device does not recognise my TV. While the picture on my TV is great I don't get sound. Sometimes it works.

I am not sure if this has to do with the cable ( its a good HDMI cable though) or with the graphics card or with the TV.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance:thumb:

Try this. In desktop mode with HDMI plugged in, click on the speaker icon in the tray. Select playback devices and makes sure the HDMI is set as default.

I have already done this...

Well, could be the cable or connector on the computer. Same thing when you wiggle it?

Yes. The point is that once it can find it and play the sound from the TV the other it cant detect the TV as sound player..
