Hello there!
This is my first post so sorry if it is in the wrong section or if it is written wrong.
I have a problem with my graphics card driver (the graphics card is Radeon HD 8670M). I use the graphics card for my gaming laptop (DELL Inspiron 3537) and I have the following problems:
- if I install the recommended driver for my laptop (from the dell site) the laptop does not wake from sleep, instead it restarts and then says "Your PC ran into a problem". I looked in the Event Viewer and looks like the driver fails to reload after sleep and restarts my laptop.
- if I install the driver from the AMD site my PC cannot enter sleep (the screen turns off but power led remains on same as the cooler and hard drive) and I have to hard reset (hold the power button for 5 seconds and then turn on).
I also tried updating the driver (went to Windows Update and I installed the AMD Radeon HD driver for Windows 8 64 Bit) but that didn't fix so I installed all the updates. But that didn't fix either. Right now I'm using the recommended driver (the one that can enter sleep but can't wake up).
Thanks is advance and sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to describe this problem as detailed as possible.
