Hello everyone, i need help with that "strange" problem. I installed Win 8 64bit with my old graphic card 9500gt inside, everything was perfect. Just after windows installed, i shut him down and changed graphic to 660gtx, i did it this way cause 660gtx is so big and to use it i must remove one SATA connection (dvd). With 9500gt windows works rly good but when i change to 660gtx i can't see single word, screen is blurry and windows 8 don't recognise my 660. Everything is fine on Win XP. I don't know what to do right now. Can it be problem with my motherboard with bios update max to Win 7 64bit, Win8 is not supported anymore by this board. If yes, there is any solution with NOT buying new board? Sorry for my english.

Did you cleanly uninstall drivers for the old video card first ?

A clean install of the 660 NVidia drivers should work, but if you can't read anything good enough to do a clean install, put the 9500 back in. Then uninstall the NVidia drivers and allow Windows to run from the generic drivers.

Then put your 660 back in, download and install the correct NVidia drivers for your 660.

Don't worry about your bios not officially supporting Win 8. It should be fine.

Is you power supply sufficient for the GTX 660 graphics card and have you checked to make sure you've connected the external
6-pin PCIe power connector from your power supply to your GTX 660 graphics card?

Did you buy the card brand new or used from someone?

Are you certain the power supply is sufficient for the GTX 660, what is the rated watts of your power supply?

Also, does you motherboard's BIOS have a setting to lock the PCI Bus speed at 100Mhz?
