Running Windows 8.1 Pro,just installed Windows Media Center. Any advice on how to watch live TV? Antenna or USB TV tuner, etc.? Don't want to spend a bunch of $$ to do it but it would be cool to have.

You'll need a DVB-T Tv card for antenna, DVB-C for cable or DVB-S for satellite, There are many TV and radio channels free over internet too.

I have 2 computers with Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1225 PCIe tuner cards in them and they work great with Media Center to watch/record TV.

In the US the over the air signal is ATSC. I use a Silicon Dust wireless box and love it. Can record two channels at once.

Thanks I'll check that out. I was looking at the WinTV-HVR-950Q USB stick from Hauppauge too.

I have the HDHR3-US. The nice thing about it is it plugs into the wireless router and then you have TV wherever the signal reaches plus no cables connected to the computer.

Been using a simple program called Easy HDTV DVR to record programs. Prefer it over Media Center and all the other many DVR programs I've tried. Easy to use, not a lot of bells and whistles but is good as a recorder.

OK wow that looks a lot better than the Hauppauge USB stick then. No cables would be a lot more convenient for my setup. Thanks for the tip.
