    Graphics Card Fan Control Software

    Hi,

I am looking for some software which allows me to control the fan on my GPU MSI R9 280X 3G. I have heard that both AMD overdrive and MSI after burner are known to cause BSOD's so I was wondering if anyone on here can advise what they use.

    Many thanks,

Afterburner works just fine if you don't insist on some "crazy" settings, it works even for other makes of video cards, I used it until AMD made CCC work good.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response,

Can you confirm which version of MSI Afterburner you use?

    Many thanks,

I don't use it any more because of AMD CCC that does what I want (my video card does not have fan speed control, it's a 2 pin fan) but last version I used is "MSIAfterburnerSetup210Beta5-[Guru3D.com]
Never made me a problem though, even with Asus GPU.

Afterburner is up to version 3.0.0 beta19. Many many new features it even displays temperatures of all your CPU cores.

You can create a custom curve for your fan on your GPU's or control them manually. It works for just about every GPU on the market.

You can even capture raw DX11 gameplay using RTSS which is now built into Afterburner!
