Hey guys, due to an issue that I was having with frequent BSODs I ran a chkdsk on various drives on the computer. As far as I can tell at this point in time the problem is gone - at the expense of my video card.
I am currently using 2 monitors, one is a standard monitor, the other a tv. Now for some reason sometimes when I launch windows the monitor is not picked up by the computer - and to further the problem in the device manager I am getting a yellow ! and this message
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
When this happened I tried updating the driver - which DID work. Suddenly I was running two monitors again and at the correct resolution (forgot to fit in that it's currently running at a reduced resolution). But now after a few more uses I'm back to picking up no signal on one monitor, the code 52 message and reduced resolution.
Any thoughts on why this keeps happening?
Or what I should do.
I just downloaded the most recent driver so that's not really a solution at this point.
UPDATE: I've reinstalled the latest update that I installed previously. And it is fixed - for now. But it is only a temporary fix. I would very much like for this to stop happening altogether.
