Any tweak to bypass screen resolution requirement

i got 1280x720 resolution monitor but since vertical resolution is bit lower than required resolution,

it says lesser than 1024x768 so cant open messaging and few other apps so those not compatible

is there any tweak to bypass this i cant even open remote desktop!!!

Same exact question I have...I hope eventually someone will figure out a way around this as I use a 50" Panny plasma that is 720p which has a native res of 1280x720...I don't want to buy a 1080p TV yet so I'd love to make this work...for the timebeing I have it set to 1280x768 but since it is not native my refresh rate is 30Hz...not a good solution in the long run...

Pretty much why a tv is still a poor choice as a monitor. Also why choosing a tv with less than 1080p regardless of size is a bad idea. Even though a smaller tv may not benefit visually from 1080 resolution it adds a limitation technically that you could avoid simply by buying 1080 to start. I bought a pair of 1080 monitors this time around specifically because of that and a because of a couple other more specific reasons that mainly revolve around what I do.

My question though is why choose a tv vs a display designed for pc?

    1) My TV is around 5 years old so no choice for 1080p

    2) I'm running Windows 8 CP as an home theater PC thus the reason for using a TV...

I can easily stick with W7 for my HTPC but always like to try the latest...

I have a netbook which only supports 1280x600, which I think that the requirement is gay, another way for companies who sell PCs to make money off of people who can't support that resolution

I had this sorted in Win8 RP, and I forgot how I did it. It would load from a cold boot, bypass the log-on screen having to press the picture, and within 1-2 seconds would kill the start screen and literally dump me into the desktop area. Can anyone please help?
