Hello! I am unbelievably frustrated with this new windows. I downloaded windows 8.1 hoping it would be better than 8. I can actually open battlefield 4 which is a plus but now it does not see my graphics card! I have a nvida GTX 780 and all it says in device manager under display adapters is Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (this was there before clearly the integrated card) and Microsoft Basic Display Adapter (which was never there before)! I have no idea what the latter one is and even worse my GTX 780 isn't listed! If it was a driver issue i could just click it and download the driver but the hardware isn't even lsited! Please help me this whole windows 8 thing has ruined getting a new computer instead of enjoying I have spent the last two weeks with it trying to fix everything that doesn't work with it and now this! Thank you!

Try re-seating the graphics card and make sure it is enabled in uefi/bios. Also did you make sure all drivers were installed? You can find the drivers for your graphics card here: NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce 332.21 Driver WHQL

I updated the new device that appeared and after it downloaded the new drivers my computer recognized it however now I am not sure if it is the main card I disabled the on board card and the screen flashed now I'm not sure if it's working. Thank you.

If it shows in device manager and your screen flashed it switched to your graphics card, happy you got it to work. :)
