Programs crashing after updating AMD UMA Graphics driver
I don't know if I should post this in this forum or in performance and maintenance. I have an HP Pavilion P6-2120 with an AMD A6-3620 APU and an AMD Radeon HD 6530D GPU. My PC originally came with Windows 7, upgraded to Windows 8 pro through a free upgrade offer and then updated to 8.1 through the window's store. I updated my AMD UMA Graphics driver through HP Support Assistant to version 8.982.7.0000Bp1. My PC ran fine for a couple days after the update. All of the sudden, most of my programs will stop working within a minute of opening them, especially Internet Explorer. I did a system restore back to right before the update and that seemed to correct the issue. I tried to update the graphics driver again an I am running into the same issues. I had a similar issue back in September when I attempted to update the AMD Catalyst Control software, most programs would just stop within a minute but haven't had any issues after installing 8.1 until now. Any suggestions to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
