No Appropriate Display Modes?

Hi there,
I just upgraded to 8.1 and now a game that I play called theHunter wont launch. When I run the launcher it comes up with an error saying 'No Appropriate Display Modes'. It was working fine on Windows 8. The support at theHunter hasn't been very helpful and despite trying a number of different things I can't seem to solve this issue. I've also contacted Microsoft but am waiting for a call back as they were very busy! Any suggestions as to what might be causing this problem and how to solve it?

You may want to go to the Toshiba site and look for the Windows 8.1 video driver. If the Windows 8 driver is all you see, then download it and reinstall it.

Thanks Mr Sardonicus, your help is much appreciated - I jumped on the Toshiba site and not being exactly sure which one was the video driver I downloaded and upgraded the 'NVIDIA Display Driver', the 'Intel Display Driver' and the 'Toshiba Video Player' and rebooted my system but the error is still coming up. There is a new BIOS update on the Toshiba site, should I update that too? Any other suggested fixes?
