Acer Laptop refuses to install Intel VGA driver

My laptop (Acer Aspire E1-571) refuses to install the Intel VGA driver. I've tried via the Acer Live Updater and manually through the Acer and Intel website. I am assuming this is the cause of the fake dead pixels on my screen, the terrible quality of videos and the reason the screen freezes when playing any video game. Help would be appreciated.

Easy. Boot your computer into Safe Mode, or change the resolution. If the pixels are still dead in Safe Mode, or don't change location when you change the resolution, the problem is physical, and won't be fixed by a driver.

I booted my computer in safe mode and the dead pixels weren't there, however I managed to update my driver and there is no difference. The same error comes up once it refreshes my screen, Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered, I have tried every suggestion from changing the registry to refreshing my whole PC to factory setting yet there is no change.

Did you install the drivers from the Acer website? (Do not install the drivers from the video card website. Those are reference drivers and do not contain the specific changes needed for your laptop.)
