Solved Missing tabs in Catalyst

have been using AMD Drivers 13.4, recently tried the new 13.8 Beta drivers, but Catalyst only showed tabs for CPU settings, nothing for Graphics Cards, have tried a clean install and a overwrite of the software, but still comes up the same, have finally got back to using the 13.4 Drivers but only after a lot of hassle.

Has anyone else had this problem, and did they remedy it.

Thanks

This is exactly the reason why I don't use beta GPU beta drivers.

I've not heard of any issues like you described. When you installed the beta driver, did you uninstall the old driver first. I know with AMD, for what ever reason, that seems to be the preferred and recommended method. Did you download the beta driver directly from AMD?

in answer to your questions, I did uninstall the previous driver, using the following,
uninstall through Control Panel,
run Display Driver Uninstall v 3.7,
then in safe mode run CCleaner,
so nothing was left from AMD, downloaded from AMD the 13.8 Beta Driver, that's when Catalyst only showed tabs for CPU no GPU, also when tried to revert back to old driver had the same problem, had to revert back to 12.10 Driver then uninstall and reload the 13.4 driver, a bleeding hassle but finally all working, also this is a clean install of Win 8.

Have googled the problem and a few people have had the same, but no one has given a reason, and all have had to do a clean reinstall.

To fix this problem, before you install the drivers, put the drivers application exe. into compatibility mode for Windows 7. After you do that, then install the drivers. You will now have all the tabs available.

Your welcome. Spent four hours trying to fix the problem until I ran into a post someone had made regarding the compatibility mode fix.
