    Asus Monitor VK278

    Recently bought this monitor
    ASUS - Display- VK278Q
Connected it with the HDMI from my ATI Radeon HD 5770
Im using Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit

I assumed windows would adjust or install whatever drivers needed to get full output from the monitor.

Resolution is allegedly at full but the whole screen does not fill up and the quality looks crappy.

Cant find any drivers or cant seem to know what to do.

Do I need drivers for the monitor?
New drivers for my HD Card?
    New drivers for windows?

    Please Help!

    Hello Hostelo,

You practically have the same monitor as I do. I have the Asus VE278Q, which is the same but without the built-in camera. I also have similar graphics with a Sapphire HD5870.

I found that using a DisplayPort or DVI connection at both ends worked best for me. I had the same issue of the black border when using HDMI on these monitors sometimes.

You might see if installing the Microsoft certification for the monitor from ASUS below may help.

I'm also using the latest 13.6 Beta 2 AMD video driver.
...or you could try the latest 13.4 WHQL video driver.
