Hey guys,

I've got a Aspire V3, with a GT 730m and Intel HD4000 inside it. My problem is as the title states, my system does not recognize the GT 730.

I've had the laptop for 2 and a half months now and I had no problems for the first month, but since then my card has caused a great amount of frustration.

It's at random, but the problem starts with the card crashing, a BSOD and then the system not recognizing the card. My fix for getting the laptop to re-recognize the card is hooking up a monitor and then uninstalling the Intel card and then rebooting it a time or two.

However this time I am unable to get it to detect the card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It sounds like a hardware issue to me unfortunately.

Hm, okay. Thank you for your reply.

I started up the system today and right off I checked to see if it detected the card and it did.
The fan in it was running at maximum speed when I started it so I tried to shut it down, but it crashed while doing so.
When it restarted it stopped detecting the card again. :(

Some things to note: The fan always runs at 100% whenever I get a BSOD and it doesn't detect the card.

The only thing in the laptop that changed right before the problem started was that StarCraft II was installed on it.

I have the latest Nvidia driver from Acer installed on it. I did NOT update any of the drivers before the problem started.
