Fresh install of 8.1 Preview on HP Core Duo with new MSI Radeon 6570 1GB card.
Driver bails on any/all/each browser used.
Got about 5 errors in 30 seconds - no BSOD's, just the quick blue artifacting, display freeze, windows error message "Display Driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered".

Anyone know a sure fix for this? Should I adjust timing parameters in the Windows Registry?

I had this same issue on Win 7 Ultimate x64 except there about half the time BSOD's would occur.

Card passes OCCT with flying colors.

I THINK I may have a solution for this in case anyone comes across this searching.
the issue has to do with idle clock speed defaults of the graphics card. The problem is most common on non-stressing requests where the card is having to go from idle to some appropriate speed in a very brief time, controlled by a default setting in the windows registry [the latency for the display driver to respond]. TechNet posters suggested bumping up that value but what I'm trying instead is increasing the CoreClock and MemoryClock idle values. we shall see. This has been a problem since Windows 7 and once I got the search terminology right I found a plethora of posts on the topic

am testing now. after a day or two with no more errors I'll report back.
