Solved Some display issues in several programs or features in W8

I have an Asus gaming ultrabook K56CB running Windows 8 64 bit
8gb ram, i7, Nvidia GeForce gt740m 2gb dedicated

I have attached my Dxdiag report, however i noticed that my Nvidia card doesnt show in the display tab?

I'm not sure when this happened, but lately i noticed that for example when I type Devices in the settings tab of the Windows 8 search and open that, the display is all mucked up, text is hard to read, selections not highlighting properly, most of the window doesnt show as it should and i cant even see half of the it.

This also happens after i swipe up on the right/devices/second screen and sometimes in programs when i hover over links or the exit, minimize, close buttons

I'm not sure why any of this happens, I have updated all my drivers, had a fiddle around with the display settings and installed all the windows 8 updates.

Would greatly appreciate any assistance thanks ​

uninstall your video driver from device manager

click on action tab on top

select scan for hardware changes

let windows load simple drivers and see if everything looks ok now..

If everything is ok now, then REDOWNLOAD the video drivers ( do not use original download nor the cd/dvd drivers )

install, reboot, and check...

i have two video drivers, my nvidia and my intel 4000 onboard, which one do i unninstall?

i try a few different things, none of which worked, including your suggestiong. So i just reset to factory settings and its working fine now...
