So uh, my video card fan is not spinning. before that. I removed the video card and remove the dust and re apply the thermal paste. and because the fan is too noisy I added some machine oil on the bearing so it would be slippery. And then I insert the video card, Plugged the pc on and I played some games. I dunno if the fan is working at that time. Then I Cleaned the processor and reapply thermal paste on it. After all of that I plug everything, suddenly I notice that my graphic card fan is not working. HELP ME PLEASE :(

What type of machine oil and how much did you apply? Try uninstalling the GPU driver package and reboot then reinstall it again, another reboot might be needed.

The fan maybe fried...or you've got to much lubricant applied.

The damage is probably irreversible if the fan is fried. You may need to replace it. Those fans are replaceable. Or get a PCI slot fan instead.

Dont let it sit there not spinning, remove the card and blow it with compressed air.. Theres probably a huge dust bunny blocking the blades. Blow it from all angles, and make sure the power connector is still attached..

This happened after I cleaned my laptops CPU fan, it wedged a large dust bunny that I could not see until I removed the fan and physically pulled out the big clump of dust....

Sometimes its the simplest things.

Is the fan plugged in?

give it a push to help it start, if the oil is thick, the fan will need help to start and the excess oil will spray out..

get some compressed air and blast the oil out of the fan.

I'm surprised that helping it start isnt getting it going....

I still think its a giant dust bunny, and now that dust bunny is oil soaked..

Blast it with air..... Theres nothing to lose if youre going to replace the fan anyway, take it apart... Find that bunny!
