Interesting. I will uninstall the NTrig driver and see if that makes an improvement. Would you all like me to continue testing the graphics driver? As it is not a primary machine I don't mind.

I attempted to remove the N-Trig drivers through the device manager but they keep getting automatically reinstalled even though I am checking the box to "Uninstall the Device Drivers." They don't show in "Add/Remove Programs". Any ideas how I can get them to go away for good and use the OOB Windows Drivers?

I think you should also check the 'Delete the driver software for this device' box to delete the driver, but when you do that it can very well happen that touch won't work at all, as long as not all ntrig devices are deleted, so be careful.

Make sure to install the custom certificate if you haven't already.

I had been watching this forum closely for any hope on Intel GMA 600, however I am having problems with your custom certificate. It doesn't 100% install correctly.

    The followings software I used:

    Custom Certificate Install v3
    GMA600 v4

The followings error is what I got while everything else went fine:

    ""
    Disabling Integrity Checks...
This version of C:\Users\Connor\AppData\Local\Temp\bcdedit.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information then contact the software publisher.

    ""
And that's it...after that it said You may now install the custom signed drivers.

Anyway, I installed the driver and it seems to work. It looks like there is no difference in all three drivers or any drivers at all.

Videos still shutters and 3D games won't work at all.

This GMA 600 v4 seems to be little slower in 2D than flat driver from motioncomputing driver:

    Release Notes

All drivers I used performs good in 2D, but horrible in videos and show artifacts and sluggish in 3D where in Windows 7 it performs smoothly.

I used my HP Driver directly from my manufacturer site and it works well in Windows 7 before installing Windows 8.

HP and Motion Computing doesn't seems to fix the artifacts and sluggish video and 3d performance.

    The tablet I'm using is:

    HP Slate 2
    Intel Atom z670 1.5 Ghz
    2GB 800mhz RAM
    INTEL GMA 600
    32GB SSD
    Windows 8 Pro x86 (32bit)

Just wondering if you had found any chance of fixing the problems or encourage intel to make their drivers open sourced since you had worked soo much on these turnarounds.

Edit: Or is it possible to actually modifiy drivers that was found in z2760 since it contains PowerVR SGX 5xx and make them work for z670?

    Great news gentlemen!

I had been working extremely deep in this project and I actually believe I found a way to enable hardware acceleration. The only problem is that Windows refuses to load the hardware acceleration driver.

I installed the driver by using "Add legacy hardware" and use disk (find the latest driver from your OEM) and install it.

It installs successfully, however not all drivers could be installed. This results in TWO Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 600!

Which I actually believed the "failed" adapter is actually the hardware acceleration part of the GMA 600... I will continue to work and hopefully find a fix.

I somewhat got the 3D to work again. It had improved about 400% from the software rendering. (Before 2-5 fps) (After 10-30 fps)

Sorry about the Custom certificate Installer. It was actually made for 64bit machines. I'll try fixing it this weekend and I'll try to find workarounds for the driver using the info you guys have posted.

Hey that sounds great. I just rebought a Fujitsu Q550 to some things out. What i have to say is, that the drivers aren't as bad as i thought, at least not in windows 7. OpenGL works really great, all stuff that doesn't work in windows 8 like angry birds and cut the rope etc works great with OpenGL in Windows 7. Next i will test Windows 8 again. I tested a Build of Windows Blue (8.1) but there was flickering all over. Not useable at all.

You can check if there is true hardware acceleration with Process Explorer. There you can see the GPU workload. What i found is that even flash is sometimes (only in fullscreen mode, even than not always) hardware accelerated.

Two adaperts? Two different drivers? How exactly did you do that?

    @XDLeader555
that sounds good....we really need opengl activated in windows 8 too.

After some more testing with Windows 8 i got hardware acceleration working with Flash (1080p) but only with Opera for some reason and only fullscreen. Video Acceleration with Media Player Classic works also great, best also fullscreen.

But still no OpenGL. Besides OpenGL the biggest problem for me is inking on it with Journal / OneNote. While it's also working great in fullscreen mode, it lags in window mode. Sticky Notes is the only app where inking does work without a lag.

    Edit:
Just wanted to say that i also got rotation working without a problem.

    Hi,

I have Viewsonic 10pi with Windows 8 installed. I have been searching GMA600 driver for windows 8 and so far no success. Even the windows7 driver works on the tablet but there is no hardware acceleration. However, I saw this forum and found out you guys have been working on the driver and I feel there is hope. Please keep up your good work and update this forum from time to time. If you need any testing, please let me know and I can help even I am not windows guru.

    Really appreciate!

    Hi
    I have a Fujitsu F-07C with win8.

Are there any updates upon this modded driver? (the 3.077 from Intel is rather bad)

Does anybody know of a driver with OpenGL support?

    Best regards
