Windows 8 not using graphics card

I recently upgraded MSI GT70 gaming laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Everything worked flawlessly with Win 7. I tried to run games like CoD Black Ops 2 and Battlefield after upgrading and I needed to update the drivers. I installed version 306.97 with no problems and restarted. After installing the new update I cannot use my GTX675M card. It will show up in device manager but no programs or games will use it. I have tried setting as the default for certain programs but it still will not run. I can only use my on board Intel HD graphics. I have tried disabling the Intel graphics and enabling only the GTX but still nothing. I have tried uninstalling everything that has to do with Nvidia on my PC and doing a fresh install of everything and still no progress. In Windows 7 I could run all games around 60 FPS. Now I am lucky to get around 20 FPS with using the Intel. I am not sure if this is a Windows 8 problem that will be addressed in an update or if there is anything I can do to work around it. I feel like I have tried just about everything and I would hate to downgrade and go back to Windows 7. If anyone can shed some light on this problem it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

When upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8, it's recommended that the BIOS be update for system stability. Have you updated your BIOS. The latest GPU Driver I see is 311.15 for the GT650 - GT680 for model GT70 ONE. See here....

I restored my PC. After doing so, it said that it could not successfully restore because my anti-virus was enabled. So, I uninstalled my anti-virus (I am using AVG). I restored it again and my PC then said the restore was successful. Yet, it did nothing. My Nvidia GPU still is not working properly. And still when right-clicking a program to "run with graphics processor", it won't give me the option.

I don't think they sell it anymore. I bought it in April 2013. But I did buy it from xoticpc.com.

Anyways, do you have any suggestions as to what may be causing this problem?
