I'm having quite a problem on updating my Video driver on this laptop. It's a 2009 Acer 4736z Laptop, running on Windows 8 Pro WMC x86.

I can't seem to find the right update for my current driver, and uh, it's my everyday laptop, so all the stuff I do, is done here, including gaming.

[OffTopic] I played Minecraft before on Windows 7 without any problems, now on Windows 8, it tells me that I have bad video drivers.

Since I can't find anything related to graphic drivers on the Acer download page that you linked me to, I just tried the second method.

Though I'm getting this problem, I downloaded it, and tried to manually update the driver, and it gave me this

Though when I get back to the Intel page, it shows that I still have the old driver installed.

There's no graphics driver for your model, it has integrated graphics, you need the Chipset driver (9.0.0.1008 or 9.1.1.1020) on that page.
Go to device manager, click the display adapters, right click your chipset, in properties you can uninstall the driver, then install the downloaded driver.Capture 1.JPG

Well, I uninstalled my current one, then I downloaded the oldest one available from Intel's download center.
It works perfectly now. :)
Thanks for helping.

Hello, I'm having the same problem again, but I don't know how to solve it, I recently reformatted Windows 8(Remove everything and reinstall Windows), and got my installed drivers reset. This is what I have so far. :
1zJbx
, same as before. But, when I go to Intel's auto detect Page Unavailable , the page's unavailable, hence I don't know what to download. I tried uninstalling the current driver and downloading a newer one, but it says my system doesn't meet it's minimum requirements.

Sorry it should have read. try this it worked for me

XDleader555,
Just to let you know I still could not get the the file to install no matter what I tried , I 100% successfully installed the Custom Certificate Installer first.

Anyway I contacted Intel tech support and explained the problem I was having, Yellow triangle next to Series 4 Chipset in device manager and unable to connect PC to TV via VGA lead.

They said it might be a corrupt version of windows 8, and advised me to use the "Refresh" option in Windows 8.
This i did and when i checked in device manager, the yellow triangle next to Series 4 Chipset had gone.
I then connected PC to TV all works fine. I don't know if this info is any good to you but i thought it might be. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you l your help in this matter.

Regards Dominic
