I come to trusty eightforums.com and it seems you guys just started downloading it 2 hours ago. And now I am downloading it too with 40 min to go...and I didn't even know it'd be out today. Stopped using the preview ones months ago.

I hope the consumer version doesn't randomly freeze whenever I open videos.

Use several different computers during a day, so specs are irrelevant.
I miss switching between Metro and Desktop by moving the cursor to left edge of the screen, they could have removed the Start button and left this feature alone.

Sweet we can use this version for 6 moths after release, and if we get a massive discount, i might buy it, the only problem seems to be that i already have precious 7 Ultimate.

I miss switching between Metro and Desktop by moving the cursor to left edge of the screen, they could have removed the Start button and left this feature alone.

You can still do that. Hover your mouse at the top left and it shows the last App used. If you move the mouse down it shows thumbs of all open apps.

Hi there
downloading the ISO from Work -- 29 mins for the x-64 version we have decent download spped and for once MS servers don't seem overloaded. -- left the PC on after work and will copythe iso to a USB and install on my own machine on 1 Mar.

I prefer the ISO to the online install as I might want to try it on some different machines or even as a VM.

Cheers
jimbo
