Need help!!! errors and upgrade!!

Hi all,
hope all is well.
I really need lots of help. So expect many questions.
I recently received a computer/pc.

I am trying to update, upgrade and activate many things on this, as I need it to do more then what it is currently capable.
I've gotten so far on my own but now I'm am fully stuck and my head hurts.

So if anyone can 1st of all help me with my activation of my windows 8.1 pro account

I tried to activate through the cmd prompt many problem came up when doing this I've resolved most or what i think is most problems I've come across but i cant find fixes for my now current problem.
error 0xc004f056 and 0x8007232b dns error does not exist

Also this may not be relevant to the thread but if anyone could help me with this too.
Why when I try to upgrade my 32bit OS to 64 bit OS, it tells me full disk on a 16GB USB stick when the download only needs up to 4gb?
I've seen videos so I know it works but now memory space is blocking me. Even though I have probably as much virtual space as the Queen of uk has in reality.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
I would really really appreciate the help so I can move on with my life... its just minor hiccups. I mean even if I cant sort the activation sorted I just want to at least upgrade to 64OS
I just want/need one app so I can work on what I always have loved to but need had a chance too. Also so i can stop looking at this computer screen each night for 5 hours going through all these errors. i just hope this is the last 2 at least atm. thank you if you take the time to read this. thank you in advance if you do help. people need it.

Ask away, it may take a bit of asking but hopefully you get this all sorted out. Let's see if we can get a few things squared away now.

You shouldn't have to do any of that to activate a healthy OS, if you've installed the OS properly and everything is above board, just click Activate (assuming you have an internet connection). I would also try the 800 number and talk to a MS rep, I went the phone route to activate my laptop the first time, I was on a dialup connection and was not wanting to have any problems so I called. It was painless. If you got a KMS error dialog I think it offers calling to activate as an option.

It isn't uncommon to have a bunk USB drive where the actual size is much smaller than the stated size. You want to get a name brand drive not a cheap knock-off. You also want to completely empty the drive, most tools that create bootable media should reformat the drive. If it's an old drive it might also be wearing out from use. Something is wrong with this particular drive, I would try another drive.

I'll assume you know your HDD or SSD is in good health and has plenty of space, no junk left behind from the previous OS! I think it is easiest to let the OS setup the drive which includes deleting any old partitions - This Means Everything Saved To The Drive Will Be Lost! Backup Save Now!

Just curious, what is the app?

As far as getting the OS installed, make sure you can install a 64-bit OS, if this is the same handed-down machine that came with a 32-bit OS originally. It might help if you provided the brand and model of the machine, maybe even some info provided by CPU-Z or HWinfo... who knows if something was removed or changed.
