Before uninstalling and installing the new version, I run it so only the cookies I want to keep are left, then I install the new version . Then I go to cookies and just sweep from bottom -> up marking all then click the arrow. You might need a few tries grabbing to sweep up, as it usually only picks one and drags that.

@Cliff thanks for the cookie info. It looks like what was deleting the cookies was Firefox Nightly that I was trying out. I assumed it was CCleaner until I noticed the cookies were deleting even though I wasn't cleaning. Must be some Nightly side effect.

No. And Nightly had the same settings as FF stable. But I did notice when I set Nightly as default browser it did not come up via url launch file association. Instead I got the Open With list. So it must be something funky. :)

Edit: Also I uninstalled Nightly and no more cookie loss.

Hmm, I am using 64 bit portable CCleaner. I downloaded CCEnhancer into the same folder and ran it. When I run CCleaner the Applications tab on the cleanup is blank. It created the winapp2.ini file but nothing happens.

Edit: It eventually filled in. But it takes way too long to populate the tab. :(

Has anyone noticed CCleaner refusing to empty favorites links from the recycle bin? I have tried it with the last 3 or 4 5.x builds x64 of CCleaner Portable. I can empty the recycle bin manually. But CCleaner will not remove favorites links put there using Remove in Explorer context menu.

Edit: My bad. I had the option checked not to delete recycle bin files until 24 hours old. :shock:
