I've been having a problem recently with windows audio. For some unknown reason the windows audio service keeps failing/crashing but I've noticed this has been happening when using my music player then playing a youtube video in Chrome. After that all sound stops and I can't hear it. I can get sound back by manually restarting the windows audio service but its annoying to do every time I want to listen to music and play a video or something after. To clarify I've been using said music player and chrome for a long time now but this problem has been happening just recently. I've also tried updating flash player to no avail.

Chrome may have done an update and caused the problem. Does it crash on any other media player or application? In most cases, when it crashes using a certain application, its a problem with the application.

After some testing I'm starting to think the media player is causing the problem. Whats probably happening is its taking control of the audio and not releasing it after causing the audio to crash.
This furthers my theory
