Wireless connection drops at random intervals only for me.

The Wi-Fi connection drops intermittently, it doesn't disconnect, it just drops. When I check the Wi-Fi in the Task Manager Performance tab, it goes from normal to 0 Sent and 0 Received packets every couple of seconds.
Here are things I have already tried:

  1. Unticked "Allow computer to turn off this device" in the Power Management tab.
  2. Put both Plugged and Un-Plugged on "Maximum performance" on my power plan.
  3. Changed my channel.
  4. Changed location of my laptop.

Tried that also, doesn't work. Do these solutions have any logic behind them? The people there often times offer no explanations.

About all I got left is try some different driver versions or buy/borrow a usb wifi dongle to see if it works better.

really man?? stop wasting time with problematic wifi.. if it's known that that adapter has problems which you are experiencing as well then amazon ..

I bought a Lenovo Laptop.. if i had done more research before hand, I would have known Lenovo is a piece of sh%$# company and they Hard-code/Lock a ton of settings that PC users are known to change.. things like fan control and bios locks and more..

Lenovo Laptops are also known to have major WIFI/Bluetooth problems.. so the point of this story is to stay away from Lenovo and go ASUS.. either way you have to read a ton of forums and look for people constantly having the same problem and then you know it's faulty hardware that the company is trying to use to save money on customers who don't know any better..

anyway for your problem..

choose either.. READ the REVIEWS.. (and look for the one with the most problems and then buy the other one!)

I would replace the adapter with an Intel or Atheros. Not that expensive or hard to do. I've done it several times on my laptop, now have dual band when didn't before.

No, please do not post unless you have a solution.

Ha.. That is a "solution"

and if you don't think that is, well hundreds of other people have the same problem and so do you, and you won't buy a $10 wifi USB to solve it?

It's always drivers that can cause things like this as these companies try to put in the cheapest parts they can.. . So either try all the different drivers or you have to change the wifi card. hmm. just like popeye said..

The only other issue is if you have faulty hardware. and that would require you to send it in to get repaired.. and cost more than $10 buddy..

But goodluck changing settings till you are blue in the face.. Just try changing drivers and when you are sick of that, you know what to do then..
