Solved Weather app not accurate?

Can't really point to a specific date where it seemed to quit working, but my weather app generally shows temperatures about 10-15 degrees colder than reality. Tried refreshing, changing my location and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app without success.

Worse thing is going to bing weather in my browser shows the accurate reading for my location so I'm really unsure why it isn't working. Anyways, not a biggie but it is one of the few apps I actually bother with so hopefully someone might have some suggestions on how I might try to fix it.

Make sure your time zone and current time are correct.

When does it say it last updated?

Time zone and time are up to date and accurate. When I just checked the app, it said refreshed at the current time and date, city is correct and even the forecast is correct, only the current temp seems stuck if that makes sense.

And you trust weathermen ? They can't predict yesterday's weather.

I have the same problem. Current weather on the live tile is not accurate on both my 8.1 tower PC or my WP8.1, however the hourly temp is correct. It's been that way for months. I've written them in concern. You may want to give it a go. Weather app > Charms > Settings > Send Feedback.

Ok. What's your point?
Second hand data, there must be some app or a program that gets data from meteorology center nearer your location. Larger cities can have quite different temperatures at the airport (where it's usually reported from) and city center or a suburb on the other side of town.

The weather station I choose in the app is four blocks away at one of the local high schools. It's accurate. It's the live tile that doesn't update correctly. Do you use the Store apps to know?

Yes I use weather App from store too but while it's "live"" tile it does not update until I open it. I also have a mini station in the front of the house and can see temperature outside to 10th of a degree and it never corresponds to the App which is set to local meteo station couple of miles away. I don't think it transmits data continually and don't know how often does Bing synchronizes with it. Obviously it has to be behind by the time it gets to me. When I set it to meteo station on the airport that's across town and far away and is always way out.
You know of the old saying that even stopped clock shows exact time somewhere, twice a day.

Lol! Yeah > The most accurate way for weather conditions is to step and look outside. :p

Yes, it depends on how often the weather stations synch and how often the app synchs on the device. My live tile does indeed update, but I don't watch it to see how often. I see there are three sources Bing gets its weather from. I would imagine they use one of those services' servers to feed an account. I also would imagine the apps and tiles synch at every hour interval.

There are other weather apps in the Store.

Weather is not an exacting science. The only thing guaranteed is that it'll be outside. :D

I noticed something while messing with this yesterday, the current temperature is always the same as the forecasted low for the day in question, so if the hi/low is 70/47, the current temp will show as 47. It also changes along with the forecast low, so it seems it's a problem with reading and displaying the wrong data on the app or the location they are getting the data from.

I marked it as solved because today it is working properly for some reason. If anyone else has this problem, just wait like I did and it will magically fix itself, or not.
