Anyone have a trick when you single click a item in the nav pane it will expand the tree in both the main and nav pain? The only option seems to be double click (how quaint) or the triangle (3.1 lives!!). Fyi I'm using server r2 2012/classic shell pounded back into win 7 /rant/ god U SUCK ms the feature would be known as "Run Win 8 with legacy shell" or "one last shop to b-gates from burning in Helll!!!!" /end rant// But anywayyy.. the file explorer is straight out of 8 from what I can see.

Thanks but 4 me at least (could be my weird setup) say you click a drive on the left the folders only expand in the main pane but not downward in the nav pane?

When turned on (checked) and you click on a folder or drive in the main window, it should automatically expand to that same folder or drive in the navigation pane.

The only way that I know to do that would be to either double click on the folder/drive OR single click on the small empty triangle to the left of the folder/drive to expand it's tree.

That's where I'm at, seems that there's gotta be a reg hack for this but I haven't found it, personally I don't see why "expand" isn't the default EVERYWHERE and don't expand the buried option..

Looks like the last clue that this is even "8" is out and directory opus is in, so annoying that ms has deemed the old school expendable.. I guess I could go back to pounding unbuntu into win 7, or buy a typewriter, anyone have a Win v1.0 for sale?
