I would still recommend going to the NVidia site to download drivers. The safest place to get a driver is from the original source. Guru3D has many different drivers available , some are user created, some are pre-beta, and some are the legitimate driver that have taken from the NVidia site.

If someone is unsure about the source, then just wait a bit longer that the drivers pop-up on the NVIDIA site, but I had never any issues with Guru3D as source and they are just a bit faster and you can always have a look into their forum and read the feedback for the drivers.

using new drivers on windows 8.1 uninstalled virtual audio on it working fine so far using Geforce experience too

Hey!
Ive come home after about 3 months hiatus. Ofc my driver stayed outdated (320.18) but now Nvidia CP says that no drivers are available. I cant check for updates either saying"unable to connect to Nvidia". I dint installed that Nvidia experience thing so I need to ask if that is mandatory now if to receive automatically updates ?
Where can I download the latest driver manually also ?

Hello Orphydian,

No, you don't need to have the NVIDIA Experience installed to manually update your drivers from the link on the first page. That's only for automatic updating.

The NVIDIA drivers are still available for your GeForce GTX 660 card at the link on the first page for me. See if these direct links may work for you.

Hmmm, you got my wrong I asked if I need to download that Nvidia experience to receive automatically updates. Untill now the Nvidia CP was doing that, wasnt it ?

Yeah, you'll need to have NVIDIA Experience installed to have it auto update. You could just reinstall your NIVIDIA drivers to add it though.

I really dont see any use for me for that Nvidia experience thing. I play a couple of games only and I dont think they have optimization from Nvidia.

So Ill not be notified anymore from Nvidia CP about updates? happen to know if this happened for other too? Was Nvidia CP completeley replced by this Nvidia Experience tool ?

NVIDIA GeForce Experience is just an optional addition to the NIVIDIA CP. Without it installed, you will not receive update notices.

NVIDIA GeForce Experience is of little use to me too but it is just as easy to check this thread or the one at SF for updates since Brink always keeps the links updated.
