Bootable with preinstalled product key?

Ive used pirated bootables with preinstalled product keys in the past but am now on the straight and narrow, wanting to add my product key to my legitimate copy of windows 8. This way I wont have to worry about having it written down, losing it or entering it incorrectly, since it will be automagically entered for me.

Does anyone know how I can add the product key to my bootable image?

No need to add product key to a Windows 8 image, as the installer will see the key in the BIOS.

Where is the Windows 8 Product Key?


Factory-installed Windows 8 computers differ from previous versions of Windows. Previously, the Product Key for Windows was attached as a label on the computer so that, in the event that the computer required reinstallation, the key could be referenced for activation.

For Windows 8, the Product Key is "injected" onto the computer motherboard at the factory, and the installation and activation processes refer to the BIOS of the computer to verify authenticity and activate Windows. No Windows Product Key is otherwise provided or needed by the customer.

Also the bios key will load only the Win 8 OS (window standard or windows pro) that corresponds to that specific key.

The version I am trying to add the key to is only an upgrade. The pc I am installing on is a custom build and was never shipped with any os
