which one is the best windows 8 version to download

please help ....i am a student and dont use so many softwarne like graphics etc....so what is the best version of windows 8 so that my battery is less consumed....

all versions ie win8 and win8 pro will have the same battery consumption, usage is what will determine the battery life more than anything else.

screen brightness
running applications(note windows 8 halts programs in the background to conserve power)

pro offers more network options and is a step down from the enterprise full business versions, normal win 8 is just leaner on certain features.

Please be careful when making comments like this. Only Metro apps are suspended in the background, and then only if it's not using a background task API.

Otherwise, what you say is largely true. Screen brightness is actually a huge battery drain, often more so than anything else (unless you're doing audio or video transcoding or something).

In previous Windows OS the Pro versions & up had more security features, more recovery and longer support period.
