Hi ... I'm new to the forum and I'm curious if anyone knows the answer to the question toward how many hardware changes can one make with the OEM upgrade 8 pro on the same motherboard ? Thanks

You can make as many changes as you want. At some point (and it is not a single number, because it depends on a lot of factors) you have to re-activate, but you are allowed to reactivate as many times as you want (unless the code is obviously released in the wild and 90000000000 people are activating with it).
That's simply not true. Windows has always allowed as many changes as you want. You just have to re-activate at a certain point. It takes a few seconds. At some point, automatic activation may fail and you need to call the phone number to do activation.
but I wonder with the new activation with the BIOS , how it work.

@ area 66 ... What have you heard about the Bios towards activation ?
The Windows 8 Pro upgrade that is being currently discounted is a Retail Upgrade license and not an OEM or OEM upgrade license, and follows the terms and conditions of a retail license.
If this is true how does one do a clean installment with them . I have try to boot from one and keep getting the error code 0x8007025D. I just ended up doing it from within windows 7 option . So where are these so call retail versions ? I don't see them at bestbuy and I heard MS got rid of retail , true ?
