Windows 8 - 7955 Leaked

Well, the combination of the Windows 8 tweaker tool, and the red pill v1 has got it set up just the way I want it. Finally got my DWM back. :)

Edit: except I can't activate because of the windows explorer crashes, but that's no big deal, for now anyway.

I had that problem and ran sfc /scannow and it repaired some errors but not all, but explorer has stopped crashing

I'll try that, but wouldn't that also overwrite slc.dll (the "red pill" dll) with the original?

Yes it did I have lost the features that red pill unlocked, reinstalled red pill and got the explorer crashing again.
Looks like Red pill is the cause of the crashes.

Yeah, I figured it was. It's probably best to activate before adding the red pill then.

It would be best to put it on an Extended partition / Logical drive for a dual/multi boot as it won't be able to steal the "System" boot loader and when you want to remove it simply delet the partition in disk management and it will be gone with no startup repair(s) at all.

V2 doesn't crash Windows Explorer, but it destroys my DWM completely. I'm just going to scannow tomorrow, activate it, and then add red pill v1.

Yeah, but does it go all the way and reboot without an error code?

Not sure if anyone tried in VMware Workstation. I and others were on about VMware Player. If it works in VMware Workstation, then great. Workstation's not free though, unfortunately.

Update: I can confirm that in VMware no matter what settings you apply, Windows 8 will error out trying to load: "rdyboost.sys"

Yeah, VMware's a no go for this one. VMWare Player gives you a BSOD 0x000005c error after it installs and tries to boot up.
