Windows 8 RTM now my primary!

Well I did it and removed 7 and now am running 8. I like it and am keeping it. Why would I want old hardware?

I finally moved on from Windows 7 a couple weeks after the Release Preview was released. It's was stable and everything that I needed ran smoothly.

    Windows 8 Enterprise 64-bit (7 Ult, Vista & XP in V-Box)

Been running the Enterprise RTM trial (64-bit) for 16 days as my main OS.

No probs at all, so far, except for the 'ugly step-sister' look of it.

    Congrats OP,

I have it as my primary OS as well. It's going well after I fixed/found a workaround for a driver issue. Can't wait for the RTM to come out on the 26th of Oct.

Windows 8 RTM (Retinas taking damage...)

8 was my primary since the CP came out(DP was a bit too rough. Now that the OS is rolling into final release(not free anymore), I have decided the benefits are not worth the $40 to upgrade, since I already own a legit 7 install. It's a solid OS though, so, good luck, have fun.

I hope that everyone will be able to put their older operating system back on, because if you get the upgrade you will not be able to install it over the evaluation issue that you have now. You can only install the upgrade over a previous version of Windows. I believe it has to be XP or newer. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that I am.
