Looks bad IMO, but can't say I didn't expect it. The "RTM" of win8 just screams: NOT FINISHED. THIS WTF IS DEFINITELY NOT SHIPPING ON FINAL MACHINES.

Well, I'm okay with the previews not being finished. They are previews. But compiling whatever is on the development server and calling it an RTM is just terrible.

I feel that the RTM is almost more like a Release Preview. I don't think at this point, there are any UI changes anymore, just code fixes.

But having said that, if those icons are genuine, I hope not. THAT, is no metro iconography. That is flat Aero, but then again, some of the Desktop elements are just flat Aero.....

What is metro supposed to be?
There was talk of Typography replacing iconography.
Yet we see weird little squares , the kind of thing you might wrap around a sweet aimed at 3yr olds. They have to be icons - grotesque ones, but icons nonetheless.
