May be you are not following what I am trying to say.

    1. Right click on the application tile
    2. Instead of clicking on "Run as admin", Click on "Open File Location".
    3. Right click->Properties->Compatibility and set it to "run this program as an Administrator"
    4. Now even you left click on the tile, the program will run as admin.

I had few exe's on my 8 side until I got rid of 7 to notice this. As soon as I can rep you, you get one! I learned something. You are surely mastering the system.

And yet another plus for Windows 8/8.1 Start Screens.

You could already do that with shortcuts in W7.

Thank you. Yes, I knew that. What I wrote wasn't fully explaining. I should have wrote " I had very few exe's on my 8 side until I got rid of 7 to notice this on the Start Screen menu of 8 and 8.1".

Non-executable tiles, of course, have less options within the menu.

Tiles/live tiles are desktop icons "reimagined" for use on the Start Screen. Far more useful and implemented IMO.
