I'm really annoyed by the context sensitive ribbons in the file explorer. The constantly change the look (a coloured tab pops up (library tools in this example picture) and the title name moves) from the window when I work with various files. Even when I have minimized the ribbon the tab pops up.

How do you feel about it? It's like a flash light which makes the GUI very distracting imho.

any Idea to change it (disable it or a least make the colour from the ribbon-pop-up the same as the window border colour?)

Ask Happy if he will have a go at it - he might already have made something along those lines.

There are so many annoyances - I hadn't even noticed that one.

Take an Explorer replacement. I'm using Xplorer2 (but they are plenty of others, usualy free, that you can choose, test and find out which one suits you best). This solves all problems at once! All sorts of problems I had with Explorer on every Windows versions. I never ever use the original Windows Explorer because it's taking too much on my nerves.

I assume that you don't use Office 2007 or later.
All Ribbon GUIs (that I've seen) exhibit that behaviour.

actually I like ribbons in office. the problem with the file explorer is that the contexts sensitive ribbons have no real benefit (no useful options there). I could see a small benefit with a touch screen but when you handle a lot of different files every day you get a flashing pop-up-ribbon mess all the he time. it's visually annoying as I have to look automatically at the new coloured ribbon when they pop up. in office it's a 100% different case. the coloured ribbon pop up not very often and are really helpful and therefore they aren't annoying to me...

I also like the Ribbon in Office, though the absence of "File" Ribbon is very annoying. It's replaced by a MS logo glass ball with no structure or logic. I imagine you could have the same advantages in Explorer if they didn't manage to, one more time, play with poeple's nerves.

The Office Orb was only in Office 2007. Office 2010 and 2013 both have File tabs.
