In my opinion Microsoft have got it all wrong!!! Windows 8 should never of been labelled as such.
Them think tank chaps at Microsoft sat down and with Bill breathing down their necks to come up with an OS to compete with ios but got the wrong end of the stick.
Now they have an ARM-based OS good enough to compete with Android and iOS, which can run on a desktop...! Though RT is only for tablets unlike the other two which run on both mobile devices. But this is where they beat Apple.
MS sys requirements beats Apple hands down, just wondering seeing can boot from a usb stick could you get it to run on a 486? Wish I had one to try.... Just found an old Lifebook P166 now if I can get it to start????????????
I may be one foot in the grave, but as much as I like 8 over 7 I much prefer XP to them both!
