I have run RP for a while but I installed a fresh copy of Enterprise RTM.

I go to the Desktop and it's using EXACTLY the same slide show of pictures I have been using in RP. (I am using a Microsoft account (Hotmail) in both places.) How'd it know about the pictures and where did it get them? The RP VM is not running.

I am not disappointed, but very pleasantly surprised.

RTM install was flawless and quick. I haven't been prompted (yet) for an activation key. VMware Tools installed without an issue. (I set this up as a "Windows 7 x64" VM in VMware Workstation.)

As time allows I'll see what else there is to see and do. I want to get Office 2013 installed too at some point.

Settings sync feature of Windows 8. By default, pretty much ALL the sync settings are enabled, including Desktop Personalization and custom settings like mouse pointers and sound scheme.

You also can disable them too if you'd like.

Yes indeed, Coke is right. If you allow your desktop settings to sync (which they do by default) on your Microsoft account, any themes you have been using will be downloaded and applied in short order once you associate your account with a new Win8 PC.

I actually quite prefer it - my browsing history, favorites, desktop themes, and apps all follow me rather than me having to remember where everything is. My data is on skydrive and backed up to an external disk (for safety), but having stuff "follow you" is something that's hard to go away from if you have to go back to using a Win7 or XP machine at some point for something.
