Hi everybody. If I mess something up format-wise or am missing info, please let me know.
Now to the issue...
Issue/Background:
I had recently moved out of my home town for work. Naturally, I am now in an apartment and am eager to get going on my computer after getting internet set up. I had been playing the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt when my computer shut off. I turned it back on and had to re-configure my preferred boot drive in my BIOS. Everything seemed fine in windows when I launched Overwatch, only to have it freeze within 2-3 matches. It froze in such a way that I heard the last found repeating through my headphones and the entire system including peripherals were unresponsive.
Steps Taken:
1) Replaced the Power Supply (needed a new one anyways... fan had been acting up and I've had it for ~5 years) Nothing.
2) Updated NVidia drivers. Nothing.
3) Ran MemCheck (Windows). No errors.
4) Reset windows. No dice.
5) Ran Prime95 Blend Test. IT FROZE.
6) Made this thread.
Basic Spec Breakdown:
CPU: i7 2600K (not OCed)
Motherboard: ASUS Maximux IV Gene-Z
RAM: 8GB G.Skill Sniper
GPU: GTX 1060
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G2
*And I have a samsung 850 SATA SSD with 2 seagate HDDs.
Additional Notes:
I should note that my CPU, an i7 2600K, idles around 45-55C and my CPU cooler currently had a case fan in it (new cooler on the way) since the original seized. However, in Overwatch it never passes 66C.
ALSO: It didnot freeze in Elder Scrolls Online during my 2 hour test.
I have attached the report required by the BSOD section just in case.
*Please let me know if there is anything else you need! Also if I don't respond within 5-10 minutes its probably night time where I live
