Odd Registry Issue. Did something get corrupted?

Been browsing and googleing for a couple days now and can't find anything that can tell me what's up with my registry.

I wanted to do some tweaking to the startup items a few days ago, but when I fired up regedit this is what I found.

Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, all the text is garbled. When I click on any of them, their is nothing under it other than (Default) REG_SZ (value not set) Best I can tell so far, the rest of it is fine. What is going on here?

Thanks

Replendence's Registrar Registry Manager, free or pay-for version, may be all you need. However, forewarned! If you decide to "tweak", "adjust", "fine-tune" Windows Prime -- you just might end up reaching either for your Windows install DVD or for your OS partition backup.

Thanks, I will take a look at that. I'm not too worried about messing things up. I've been tweaking/adjusting for many years :)

The surprising thing for me with this is that this is my daily driver for a few years now, and other than the occasional annoyance, it actually still runs quite nice. This is the first time I even looked at the reg in over a year.
