Audio service not running and no internet connections on

I came home yesterday and found red X's on the icon for my audio and my internet connection. Troubleshooting for audio just says "hardware changes might not have been detected" and I'm not very computer savvy so I'm not sure how to produced further information on that. I just know that whenever I try to open something like iTunes it says "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration Audio/Video playback may not operate properly".

as far as my Internet goes it says no connections are available and when I try to run Windows network diagnostics it says troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem.

if there is any other information you need and can tell me how to find it for you, just let me know!

I have to type this out by hand because like I said my other issue is that my internet doesn't work either (just with the laptop) so I'm typing this on my phone and I hope I don't miss anything but anyways his is what it says:

"Windows IP Configuration

Host Name .... : Dylan
Primary Dns Suffix .... :
Node Type .... : Hybrid
IP Routing Enabled .... : No
WINS Proxy Enabled .... : No

Etherner adapter Ethernet:

Media State .... : Media disconnected
Connection-specific DNS Suffix .... :
Description .... : TAP-Windows Adapter V9
Physical Address .... : 00-FF-1F-2E-6A-44
Autoconfiguration Enabled .... : Yes"

did that help? Anything else I can provide?

I don't know if this would ever help my audio/internet issue but I tried to do like a PC reset just to see if I could even restore my computer but that didn't work either

Open and admin cmd prompt then type
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew /
netsh advfirewall reset
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ipv4 reset

see if the network connects then

None of those commands word, two of the messages when I tried to do that, "Could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution." And "No operation can be performed on Ethernet while it has its media disconnected."

So thats saying either the network card is dead or the cable is dead have you got another cable to try does it light up the port on the router

Well, I usually connect wirelessly to the internet because I'm using a laptop. I've never used an Ethernet cable with it before. So would it be the first option? Dead network card?

No, not anymore. It used to. Is there a way to get that back? And am I able to get connected with an Ethernet cable? Just plugged one in doesn't enable anything, do I have to change some settings?

I opened network connections and nothing comes up at all, it just tells me I can add a VPN but nothing else shows up. I'll post a really low quality pic I took of my screen since that's about all I can show you.

As as far as under network adapters it has two.
- Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adaptor
- TAP-Windows Adapter V9

I got this computer from my mom when she got a new one, it's been working fine for over a year until now but I do not have a cd for it. There is a wireless button on keyboard and I've already tried pressing it.
