New Windows 8 Boot Menu Not Working!!

I installed the windows 8 release preview a few days ago in a virtual hard disk. Then after using it for few days, I installed another version of the same windows 7 (my actual primary os) on another vhd file for testing.

Which means now I have one windows 8 and two windows 7 (one primary another in vhd).
So, now when I power on my laptop, it uses the old text style boot menu, instead of the new windows 8 metro boot menu.
Can anybody help? I have already tried a few procedures explained in eight forum but unfortunately in my case the problem persists.

I'm not up to speed on VHD installs but don't you have to launch those "from" Windows? I would think you would have to install Windows 8 to a physical partition so it could see Windows 7 and setup the dual boot. When running it from a VHD it thinks its the only OS. Same deal for the Windows 7 VHD, it doesn't see the other operating systems so no OS selection screen.

You are possibly using the Windows 7 (text-based) boot manager. If you repair your windows 8 installation, it will probably revert to the Windows 8 gui boot, Bootim.exe.

You can just add the W8 VHD to the Boot menu.

The tutorial I used, actually used the W8 Boot info from the VHD.

When you get sick of W8, you can just point the Boot Loader back to the W7 Boot info.

Look, as far as vhd is concerned, there is no issue with that. All the three os run as if it were installed in a physical hard drive.
The thing is that, because I installed windows 7 after installing windows 8, the text boot menu is used instead of the metro graphical boot menu.
All three os show up on the text boot menu. But I want the GUI boot menu. Thats the problem.

You're fortunate, text menu is much better.

Run win 8 startup repair from the win8 dvd /usb drive/winre.wim

I will try to repair windows 8 as you told. Thanks for your help.
But text menu is certainly not better than the GUI menu.
