I bought a pc about 6 months ago, it has a partition drive with 180 on the "C" and 800 on the "d" , all running fine but slowly but surely the C partition is being filled up daily by invisible files, it's down to 19 gb free now. Everything I download goes onto the D partition , I've switched the browsers so they use the D also but still the C drive continues to fill. Why do all windows systems go to sh1t after a few months?
I've tried various pc clean programs but they can only find about 10 gb

Consider downloading and running MiniToolBox and Piriform's Speccy; such will give valuable information concerning what programs are running in the background and foreground. Many here will be able to "spot" known programs that write and write and write, which ones log and log and log. And, what are the computer's System Restore Points creation and storage settings?
Do not copy and paste the MiniToolBox logs or Speccy's logs - unless specifically told which pieces to post. A quick list, a summary, may be all that is needed.
