Login session error: trying to rename domain computer.

• Windows 8.1
• used admin creds to access computer renaming dialog
• changed computer name (& description)
• applied changes
• was asked for and entered creds again
• got error: A specified logon session does not exist it may already have been terminated

Already tried the registry trick:
[h=1]Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication[/h]
