How do i fix my brightness?

Hello! well...let me tell you the story

In my university we were going to use windows 8 for a programming stuff, and i updated to windows 8.1, but the thing is that i can't change the brightness of my PC, the problem is that it is too bright, is a VAIO VPCS131FM, i've tried installing the normal drivers it has but it doesnt seems to work.

If Adaptive Brightness is enabled it will not let you adjust the brightness level. See this tutorial to turn it on or off.
